Member Guidelines
MEMBER GUIDELINES—Winter-Spring 2012 (updated December 31)
Concerts—May 12, 7:00 p.m., and May 13, 3:00 p.m., both at St. Saviour's Church in Bar Harbor.
Dress rehearsals—Tuesday, May 8, and Friday, May 11, both at 7:00 p.m. at St. Saviour's Church in Bar Harbor.
Fees—Dues: $40. Cost of music: $20. Checks are to be made out to the Acadia Choral Society. Dues may be paid in two installments; in case of need, scholarships for dues are available. Please contact Judy McKenney, our treasurer, for any special arrangements.
Rehearsals—Tuesday evenings, 7:00-9:00 p.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Ellsworth (121 Bucksport Rd.) Please be in place and ready to sing at 7:00. (Note: The last 3 or 4 rehearsals in Ellsworth may be extended by 15-20 minutes. This additional time will allow us to spend less time standing on the risers during the rehearsals at St. Saviour's.)
Attendance—You will be allowed three absences per semester. If you know that you will miss two or more rehearsals in a row, please notify Barbara Thompson. Attendance at the final Friday rehearsal is mandatory. If you must quit the chorus for any reason, please contact Jamie Hagedorn. (Note: While three absences are permitted—and absences are often unavoidable due to illness or other emergencies—please make attendance a top priority. We work most effectively and efficiently when everyone is present.)
Weather cancellations—If a rehearsal will be canceled because of weather, the phone tree will be activated by 3:00 p.m., so please be sure that we have a number where you can be reached.
Concert dress—Women: White blouse, black long skirt or black slacks. Men: White long-sleeved shirt, black trousers.
Recordings—Study CD'ss will be available for each voice part.
